This is a benchmark that is based on you telling people how Puerto Rico is like. We had to write a postcard to your family tellin them how Puerto Rico is like.

My process was pretty goood even thoughi had to really think about what i wanted to write.

This project was based on us using spanish to give people advice with any problem that they have.

My process was that i had to work extra hard because of the fact that my partner wasn't there so i had to do the whole thing by myself. It was a good experience for me because it was a time where i can put everything that i learned in that class into this final benchmark project.

El Consejero empieza a hablar de relaciones:

Sr. ED: Buenos días y bienvenidos a Enamorados con Problemas. Hoy vamos a hablar de las relaciones que no funcionan. Estas personas me van a llamar y voy a tratar de dar le buenos consejos.
Suena el teléfono-“Ring, Ring”
Buenas con quien tengo el gusto de hablar?

Carmen: Hello…My name is Carmen Smith

Sr. ED: Oh! Hello…I’m Sr. ED. Please tell me your relationship problems and I will try to help you through this. Since this is a Spanish radio show I will be translating in Spanish for my listeners.

Carmen: Ok that would be great.

Sr. ED: Aquí tenemos a Carmen Smith que solo habla inglés. Yo les voy a traducir lo que ella me diga.

Carmen: Well…I called today because I was referred by a good friend of mine. My boyfriend José is not actually being faithful. He is cheating on me with some Boricua…

Sr. ED: Bueno esta mujer me esta diciendo que su amiga la refirió a este programa. También dice que su novio esta poniendo le los cuernos con una “Boricua”. Continué.

Carmen: I really love this man, I don’t want anything in between us both. He is very sweet and nice except the cheating of course. Please help me.

Sr. ED: Bueno Carmen me dice que ella ama a José y no quiere que nada este entre medio. Ok what you have to do is forgive him and try to reconciliate. (Lo que usted necesita hacer es tratar de perdonar lo y traten de reconciliarse).

El show se va a un corto comercial.

Sr. ED: Bienvenidos otra vez a Enamorados con Problemas.
Ahora vamos a recibir nuestra ultima llamada.
Suena el teléfono-“Ring, Ring”

¿Bueno?

José: Hola. Me llamo José Fernández.

Sr. ED: Buenas tardes José. ¿Cual es tu problema? Me lo cuentas y yo te diré el mejor consejo.

José: Bueno el problema es que mis padres no quieren que yo este con una mujer hispana pero yo estoy enamorado de Carmen Smith mi futura esposa.

Sr. ED: Que coinsidencia José, Carmen llamo temprano. Ella me contó de los problemas en la relación. Ella me dijo que tu le pegaste los cuernos y…

José: POR FAVOR ¡YA! Yo se que hice algo muy feo pero no fue mi culpa…

Sr. ED: ¿Y de quien fue la culpa?

José: No se meta en lo que no le importa.

Sr. ED: Perdóneme, pero yo creo que este show es para que me expliquen sus problemas en la relación, no para que me estén gritando.

José: Perdóneme, pero esto lo cogi sin cuidado. Quiero que tu me ayudes por que mis padres son católicos y me dicen que me tengo que casar con alguien que sepa el español y que sea católica y Carmen es judía.

Sr. ED: OK. Primero a tus padres no le deben importar con quien tu te casas, ellos no son los que se van a casar. Segundo, no importa la religión, lo que importa es cuanto se aman. Te voy a decir que aprendas el inglés para que se entiendan mejor.

NAME: Sopa Blanca Frijols y col rizada

INFORMACION:
•    Facil
•    Dutch/Netherlands
•    Servir deis personas
INGREDIENTES:
•    1 bolsa col rizada
•    16 papas
•    1 bolsa la zanahora itas
•    1 cebolla
•    blancas frijols
•    1 tallo de apio
•    2 lata vegetal caja
•    Pimenta cayenne, pimenta negra, pimenta roja, y pimenta chile
PREPARACION:
•    Hervir caldo vegetal en olla
•    Pelar y cuarta las papas
o    Agrega
•    Pica el apio
o    Agrega
•    Pica las zanahoras
o    Agrega
•    Raspar las hojas del tallo del col rizada
o    Agrega
•    Abre lata de frijols blanca
o    Agrega
•    Dejar hervir
•    Remover y dejar enfriar
•    Agrega pinzada de pimenta cayenne, negra, roja y chile.

La Comida

This week, we are wrapping up our unit on La Comida! After learning the names of foods and how to talk about preparing them, students wrote their own recipes that they will present on Wednesday in the form of a cooking show. I can't wait to try all of the dishes that I've been reading about in their work. Stay tuned for the class recetario -recipe book- which will be posted at the end of the week. ¡Buen provecho!
