For the first quarter benchmark I had to write a five-paragraph essay proving something about kindred. A five-paragraph essay is a kind of persuasive essay that is constrained to five paragraphs. Each paragraph has a special purpose. The first paragraph is the introduction where you introduce your thesis statement. The second, third, and forth each have a supporting point that proves the thesis statement. Then the last paragraph concludes the essay. The way I did this was think of a thesis statement and write 3 points to support it.
