Project Description: Kindred was the first text that we read this year. We studied our texts, paying special attention to our five core values.

This essay is about how Telemachus takes charge of his life and becomes a man by the end of The Odyssey.

I chose to present ths because it is a peice of writing that I worked really hard on. This paper demonstrates that I can write a structured essay with quotes.

What I learned from this assignment was how to use quotes and how to structure the essay. I also learned that if I work hard, I will benefit from it.

 In this unit,  we were assigned a five paragraph essay on The Odyssey. The teacher gave us theses to choose from and we had to use text from the book to prove it.

This essay was an analytical look at themes in Homer's Odyssey. I chose to dissect the role of environment in Telemachus' decisions.

For the second marking period we had to write another five paragraph essay for the Odyssey. (For an explination of a five paragraph essay click here) I did this assignment by creating a thesis statement and then finding three points in the book that support the thesis statement.

This was an essay I did that was built from a thesis written on a subject from the book The Odyssey. I was particularly exited to do this assignment because we held several discussions about this book. I created a thesis that proved an intresting topic. I completed it using the template Mr.Kay created  for us to  write them by. It was easy for me to write this because I had things I wanted to adress that I couldnt in class discussions.

We all had to write a story. It could be about anything. But it had to be us. It could be a made up story or a true one. We than had to do a podcast of our stories.

On my second marking period benchmark I had to write a five paragraph essay about the "Odyssey". We had to make a thesis statement about a certain part of the book and prove it. We had to use evidence from the book to help prove our points. This project helped us understand the book more. 

In the 2nd quarter we read the Odyssey and we wrote a 2 paragraph essay on the Odyssey. From what i can remember, in this text we were given thesis and I chose one to prove. Odyssey in my opinion is a kid text in adult language. Odyssey is very metaphorical which tends to make one belief that it is deep.
