In Search of a New Teaching Metaphor: Teacher as Sherpa

This year’s professional development meetings started with the theme of Inquiry. Since it is a core value of SLA, inquiry is a topic that I have been thinking a lot about over the summer. In many ways what makes SLA different from other schools is its combination of inquiry-driven project-based curriculum using the tools of School 2.0.

When we were asked to write a reflection on “Inquiry” at the beginning of the workshop this is what I came up with:
