Prompt 1:

A city sports team gives everyone a sense of unity, accomplishment,

presense and hope.   Its an oportunity to feel signifigant and be happy in

victory with hundreds of other people.  It hasn't happened since 1980.  

Now, we are reading Hamlet and we come to class prepared for a discussion. We also, look forward to doing an activity and watching the scene we read previously. The quizzes we take are analyzing what the different characters said and how it applies to the rest of the story. Analyzing and applying to the rest of the story can be very helpful because it gets you to think more. In the beginning I didn't like the quiz because it asked too much and I wasn't sure what to say, but it is very helpful and I got to understand more. Also, with the class discussion everybody hears other peoples' opinion and what actually happened along with their thoughts and others give their feedback. Class discussion is very helpful although I'm not one of those who participate the most. I sit back and listen, interpret, and think about what I heard and what I thought myself and it helps a lot.

Our English class is far from a bore.  People that I don't normally see speak that much don't hesitate to voice their opinion in here.  We all listen to each other very well, and we all have our moments of deep thought in which one of us students will go off in deep explanation about whatever we might be talking about in class.  Everyone gets his or her turn to speak.  

I know that I definitely share what I feel in class discussions especially when it comes to the literacy that we read.  I really love to write so when it comes to looking at other text, I come up with a lot to say.  We all have to reflect a lot on our everyday activities and discussions in class and we all seem to enjoy it.

Hamlet is full of controversy and rage. Shakespeare portrayed characters in the book as some evil, some kind, some insane and some sneaky. In my opinion, Polonius was sneaky and evil, Queen Gertrude was sneaky, and Hamlet was insane! I enjoy reading shakespeare tragedies because it gives me a certain condolence. My leisure time is spent writing; stories, poems, or my thoughts. English class has bettered my writing and furthered my knowledge with a better understanding of grammer, puncuation, and the meaning behind my words. I look forward to reading more shakespeare. I find it interesting understanding old language. It's a struggle trying to translate Shakespeare's words into modern language, but it helps you understand the meaning behind the story better. As a writer, I wish to write poems or stories and be remembered for my work as Shakespeare has. It's every writiers dream to be gone but remembered for what they did best, and thats writing!

What do you want to learn?
I want to learn how to talk and help people with things there going through. I want to gain people skills approaching aspects of talking to them and lending an open ear.
Careers: Some careers I’m interested in are becoming a phycastrist, photographer and owning my own business like small  cafe. .

I felt as if you were right and it was great advice. I am a very shy person so it will be good to learn people skills. Also to ignore major incompitance. And she is right this will take a long time to get these skills but I'm willing to work.

What is the assignment: For this assignment, we were put into groups and were given topics to choose. My group picked the Sierpinski Triangle. 

2. How I completed this project: To complete the project my group and I had to create a wikispace on our topic and teach it to our class. We did lots of research and picked what would be best to use.

3, What I would do different if I did this project again: If I were to do this project again I would try to put together a better presentation to teach to the class. I would make it more interactive and hands on. 

In this benchmark I made a jeoprady game on the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendment as well as the reconstruction period. I made it on an animation program called scratch. The game is entertaining and it has sonic and mario. I would've added President Johnson if I had more time. I fell he was a somewhat important person. I can't upload the project but IN my next blog I will.

Well for this math benchmark I went all out. I had to make a graph with an increasing linear rate and a decreasing linear rate. I really tried hard on this project but everything couldn't fit on the graph. If you ever download this press show all hidden and there are answers listed from 1-8 that were on a sheet of questions. I brought my A game and hoping to do it again.

This is a egg cell lab where we tested a egg with 3 different liquids and we (our group) recorded our results.

Here we made observations outside about how we truly felt about the real world.

We had to find out information on a topic with our group that was assigned to us.

On this project my topic was Pascals triangle and we presented this project to the class to give them information on the topic.

If I were to do this project again I would work harder and be more creative. 

To complete this project our group had to apply egyptian architecture to geometry. We had to point out the comparisons and relativeness as well as the differences.

During this quarter, we worked on conveying emotions and a narrative without props or speech. In our benchmark, we had to work with a partner to create and perform a silent scene. We also had to make a playbill to accompany it. I worked with Taylor Valentine. In our scene, she played the role of a model who is having her picture painted, and I performed as the artist. Attached is our playbill.

In this class we had to do a silent secne with a partner it was fun. But we also had to write a script. The secne could be anything you and your partner think of.

For our quarter 1 benchmark in bio~chemistry we were asked to conduct an expirment with a partner on yeast.

My partner and I first did our research on Yeast and how yeast reacts to water and sugar.

Afterwards, we carried out the procedures of the expirment and observed and recorded our data.

If i was to do this project over again I wouldnt change anything because I feel as though i did a really good job 

This project was focusing on Yeast and its reaction to sugar. In this project we worked with partners and we had two parts of the project to complete.

Part 1

Experiment with the reaction of Yeast with 200 ml of water, 200 ml of water and 10 grams of sugar, and 200 lm of water and 30 grams of sugar.

Part 2

Add a variable and come up with your own lab.

Me and my partner added the variable seltzer and kept the variables of water and sugar, we just added seltzer.

For our project we had to do a dinner secen. We had to role play a charector in the Pharoahs home for dinner. I was a soilder and I had to make a dialouge. But we also got other parts of the project to help out.

For our spanish Benchmark, my class and I had to prepare a podcast speaking of ourselves in spanish. Our podcast was basically all about us.

We had to write a paper on the book Kendred. I wrote about how being from the future helped her and how it hurt her.

1) we were observing the yeast in different environments such as Hot,Cold,& room temperature the yeast was placed in a frige on a heat lamp and well a room

2) i put the yeast and salt in a test tube mixed them and put them in different temperature to see what would happen 

3) if i would change one thing about the project i would change the salt  

Since were surveying the life of king tut until his death at an young age we renacted what it'll be like with a dinner. We were put into groups where people portayed a character like pharroah, cook, servent ect.

To make our project to the best of its ability us the group members decide to give what people are who. With what person we have we decided to look at the background and daily life the person had to get into the character.  We then designed a script for us to say at the dinner.

 For this project I don't think I'd do anything diffierent because I'm pleased 

For this benchmark we had to plain a dinner with King Tut we had to make a seatting chart, lines, skit for the dinner. We worked with other people for this benchmark.

In geometry, our project was to present out a powerpoint on Richard Buckminster Fuller and the Geodesic dome. my group and I were given hi to research while the rest of the class were broken into groups to research different people just as we did.

For this project we had to research a sequence. We were put into groups of three. We also had a specific sequence. My group had the Power Sequence. During the time of your research you had to understand the sequence, learn the sequence, and be able to teach the sequence. We had to be able to do that because we had to teach the sequence to the whole class.

Our Q1 Benchmark for Biochem included yeast respiration lab. We had to do a lab with yeast lab and then write a research paper. After that, we had to do the same lab using different variables. For example, the first time we used yeast and salt, when doing the lab over we had to chang on of the variables and write another research paper showing differences between the two labs.

We had to work in groups to prepare for a dinner with king tut. The dinner had to include the people that would be at the dinner, as well as conversation. We had to present this information with creativity to show this information.

We found a creative way to show how we thought a dinner with King Tut would go on.

If I were to do this project again I would work harder and be more creative. 

we had to take 3 flasks and fill them each with a different number of yeast and see what one out of the 3 flasks got bigger, and how long it took them to grow.

For our Q2 Benchmark our class broke up into groups of 5 or 6 and played roles as King Tut, preist, farmer, etc. We had to act as if we were having dinner with King Tut.

For our first quarter benchamrk we were reading a book called kindred. The teacher gave us a few topics to chose from so we can write an essay on what we thought and our opion with backing it up from the text.

I completed the assignment by first making a thought web by putting my ideas into order. I then put my information from it into a thesis stament so from there I can construct my body.

I would get more in deph with the book go from surface to deph. i went into alittle bit but not as much I just scratched the deph.  

For our Quarter 1 Benchmark my classmates and I were to write an essay based on the book "Kindred" we read as a class. Our essay had to include an introduction, body, and a conclusion. Each inividual student was to pick a topic from a list and base their essay around that specific topic.

We had to do a "Me Magazine" for our Quarter One Benchmark, and it's an attachment.

We had a group of people playing a role and we were to eat dinner in front of king tut and thank the gods
