According to Yahoo, people with abandonment issues tend to have trust issues as adults. There all also many different kinds of abandonment issues. Everyone has experienced it before. Whether you are a little boy who wants his mom to come pick you up from pre-school, lost a pet, a family member has passed, a woman left by her husband of twenty years or even a sibling that's about to get a baby brother or sister.  Yahoo states,"Abandonment is about loss of love itself, that crucial loss of connectedness. It often involves breakup, betrayal, aloneness." Yahoo also says that we turn our rage about being rejected against ourselves. This accounts for the severe depression and self-injury involved in abandonment.
