Something must be done. People always say you are not old enough to do anything about this probelem our neighboring countries are having. But thats a lie. Millions each year are being killed from diseases and from malnuricement. If everyone in just the United States gave a 50 cents a day, and donated the money to people in africa that live in poverty and are starving, just maybe we could save more lives than if we didnt do anything.
I applaud associations such as " Idol Gives Back," and " Save a child" because they are actually helping others instead of sitting back and watching people die while our wealthy country disposes half eaten apples and barely used necceseties. Everyone can do their part. So kids, donate 50 cents from your profits at your lemonade stands. You can really make a difference.

I agree this is so stupid how people can do what you said drop there jaws mabye shed a tear but not do anything. if they would stop giving money to Lottery they could probably save alot of those starving people that apparently the goverment dosent care about. If the goverment cared we wouldnt keep hearing stories about how all these srtaving peoeple in africa keep dieing. They put so much money on those things and they could give it to the Africans. I just think its wrong.

can anyone read about a epidemic like this and do nothing. actually i know why, sadly its because we have enough food to eat and water to drink. its because us americans dont care about anyone but ourselves. if each person in america donated even one dollar think of the change that can be made. i am only 13 years old and think about the girls and boys my age that dont have any food to eat. there is so much food being wasted everyday. i truley believe that everyone in america that can donate something to a family that cant afford to eat for days, weeks, and even sometimes months. someday i will make a change. i will be a young girl that grows up to be a adult that cares. america needs to change its ways.. becuase if we dont, the population will die. it wont be easy but the more people that care, the more hope there is.

that we can just sit here and read an article and drop our jaws but not do a darn thing about it. Im not old enough to do anything yet but if i were i would definately try to make a difference just like the adults today should be doing by taking charge and helping. I dont understand how people can seriously not give a care in the world. I mean what if it was you and your child, would you want someone to help you? i know some people would avoid the question just because they dont want to say the answer they know is right but i mean seriously.
