My "Vision of School" Essay

I think schools should encourage their students to think about and
study what interests them, but without pushing them to decide right
away what they want to do when they are older. I think school should
be a place where students learn about topics they care about, as well
as a place where they are introduced to new information and ideas.
While some people have a good idea of what they want to do from a young
age and would benefit from being allowed to learn, many have no idea
until they try out a few different things.
I think one of
the most important reasons that it's so difficult to determine the
purpose of school is education serves different purposes for different people.
That is why I think that the most important thing for a school to do is to
frequently reevaluate its teaching methods to make sure that it is meeting the
needs of its students.

I completely agree with you.
I completely agree with you. If school is interesting and enjoyable, it is much easier to pay attention and to learn. Personally, I have no idea what I want to do or study, so variety in school is important.
I definitely agree with what
I definitely agree with what the writer is saying in their statement that students should be allowed to pick to what they study, and not be forced to pick a major right away. Students can take classes that interest them and not end up majoring in what they had studied in middle school. I believe that because each student has their own personal backgrounds, financial, and personal affairs that could affect the way they pick an elective, that students should not decide beforehand what they want to study later on in life. Some students such as I are taking electives that they will not be studying in college. Yet I enjoy my elective very much as a hobby, i do enjoy the class and want to further learn about it.
Furthermore, children always are changing their minds from what they want to be, even since they were five years old. Many popular "aspire to be jobs" include firefighters, police officers, teachers, and astronauts, but children always are changing minds, and as humans grow, they too change their minds. Yes some might make mistakes as they choose to change what they want to study, but they can learn to fix and/or cope with their decisions.
I also agree with that statement that talks about how difficult it is to determine the purpose of school because it is true that everyone needs their own different sets of attention and needs to their abilities and disabilities. And thus i too believe that schools should try and investigate the needs of their varying array of students.
I totally agree with this
I totally agree with this short essay. I think we should be able pick and choose what we want to learn. I agree that we are still young and still unsure of what we want to do, it's tough, figuring out what you want to do for the rest of your life. I also think that education like said in the essay is different for everyone, we learn at our own pace, we all learn in a different way. I enjoyed this essay very much, because i feel the exact same way about school and how it is run.
