Othello Blog 1

What have we done so far? Basically we have received the assignment, and had our groups assigned. I’m in a group with Julian, Kiara, and Cassandra. So far we also have assigned jobs, and where we will post our stuff.

Well our group is probably going to be difficult as well as easy. I expect hard work from all of our members. But as you may know some of our members, mainly Julian and I, tend to be slackers, especially at the sight of potentially hard work. Cassandra is a slacker on and off. And Kiara works hard all the time so we will see.

Basically I haven’t done any work yet but I have taken a few glimpses at my Act (Act 3) in combination with Spark notes (for added comprehension and interpretation). I don’t know what tactics my teammates will be using. However, I doubt we will alter any of the lines we find.

I chose Act 3 because I believe that’s where our theme (jealousy) unfolds and gets the most attention. Such as Act 3 Scene lines 195-225 in which Iago warns Othello of the possible feelings of jealousy he could catch from seeing Cassio and Desdemona.
