Challenges in English

For the last week, English class has been very interesting to me. Not that it's boring, but I like to read alot, and talk about what I've read. Reading Othello has been a challenge for me. Trying to take in what Shakespeare writes and make sense of it to have a better understanding of the story. I'll admit, I was intimidated when I first began reading but now it's not so bad. Especially since my classmates are in the same predicament  as I am with the understanding. However this book reminds me of my favorite band, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE. Iago is constantly plotting and seeking revenge against those who have made him feel like a outcast, or loser. Mainly because everyone looked past his good army skills and chose Othello. So it reminds me of My Chemical Romance's CD Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. Which really makes me like this book.

As for the other work in English, I found myself struggling with the Knapsack rebuttal paper. Only because I am better with writing opinions in a paper, without proof. Other then that, this English quarter has been a pretty smooth one. The Freedom Writers Diaries was my favorite part of English this whole year. I don't think I have ever enjoyed a year of English before. I have always had teachers that made it miserable for me. I got A's in the classes but I wasn't doing the work because I enjoyed it, I was doing it because I had to. Having Mr.Chase as a teacher has changed  that.
