So right now the Health Care BIll is going through a lot in the Senate. This past saturday [11.21] 60 of our senators voted yes for the health care bill. However, a lot of them have said that in the ongoing election they wont vote yes unless some parts of the bill are changed.

Summarize the PA City Bill:
Nothing new have chaned since it was last reffered to the Commitee on the environment on 10/30/09
Reflection:
The current situation for the health care bill in the
Senate.
What is happening? The bill hasbeen passed through the house and now in the Senate.
What happened over the weekend? The bill moved toards a senate debate
What is the
path forward for potential passage? Its really hard to tell, the fact that many politicans in the senate are not going to approve of public option at all in the bill.

Update your bill (all of them) progress.
Recent action on my US Congress Bill:
Latest Action: January 27, 2009 when it was Referred to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Recent action on my PA State bill: No action on this bill.
Recent action on my Philadelphia City Council bill: There wasn't any action on this bill.
Reflect on:
The
current situation for the health care bill in the Senate. What is
happening? What happened over the weekend? What is the path forward for
potential passage?
Currently, the health care bill in the Senate is moving through the different levels of committees.Over the weekend, it was moved to the Senate floor. The path forward for potential passage is that the Health Care bill passes through each committee and makes it on the President's desk. In order to do this, I think that they The republican party should be convinced that public option is a good idea for the government so that everyone can come to an agreement.

State Bill: Not moved at all
City Bill: Not moved at all
Reflection:
At this point in time the Health care bill was voted to be debate on the Senate floor. There is still a lot of debate regarding public option. This is one of the key reasons that makes it difficult for the bill to be voted on.

H.R 45 has been referred to the subcommittee but stopped again. this happened in Febuary 9th. As for my other bill the H.R 2243 on the other hand hasnt even moved since Oct 8th. which is about a little under 2 months.
Over the weekend our senator Robert Casey was defending Pennsylvanias abortion laws firmly. Mostly because of the non existant funding. Many democrats want to make sure that no federal dollars go into abortion. whether its directly of indirectly. unless its rape, incest, or to save a woman's life.

Reflect on:
The current situation for the health care bill in the Senate. What is happening? What happened over the weekend? What is the path forward for potential passage?
Obama and his administration is choosing people from the republican side to seek support for this bill to be passed. The two moderate Republican senators from Maine, Susan Collins and Olympia J. Snowe are the leading republicans in support of this bill. On saturday, they had the result for the party-line vote of 60 to 39 votes. Now they are having a full health care debate. In my opinion, this bill have fighting chance to be passed.

REFLECTION piece:
The executive branch should also vote whether or not a law gets passed. For example, mayors should be able to decide what is good and what is bad for his or her city. Just because the house/ senate says its good, doesnt mean the people agrees with it. The mayor should represent HIS/ HER people because he knows more about a specific need that is growing in the area that he works for. I think the executive branch should have the right to say whether or not a bill get passed (excluding the president because he is alowed to veto a bill).

I understand that the National Bill has to do with Immigrations and their children, but I think that this bill will not help at all. Once a child is born in the country they are considered a citizen. This bill would not allow it.

If I could have only one of my bills passed, the one that I would choose would be the U.S congress bill. The reasons that I would chose that particular bill over
the other bills are several. First of all, the other bills are more general and I think deserves less support than this one should be getting, even though it's not doing to well. I also believe that with the major role that females play in society, they should be recognized and should at least be able to have their own day of recognition in something as complex but yet simple as sports.

If i had to pick one bill that could start moving forward it would be my city bill. My city bill focuses on the bike lanes in center city. This issue is bigger than it might seem. Bike safety is a big concern for a lot of people in Philadelphia. A lot more people are starting to ride their bikes around the city, and being assured that their safe is important. Knowing that the bike lanes are working for their safety is important to know because then it means we are putting an effective method out there that will keep them safe.

If I could get one bill passed, I would want my House Bill to get passed. I want to know whether or not it's legal to have a gun for self defense only incase of robberies. The neighborhood I live in isn't the greatest place to be because it is around two clubs and everyone tries to park in the development I live in because they think it's free but causes a lot of trouble to the house owners here. I probably wouldn't be going to a Community College so it wouldn't personally affect me, but I still would like for it to be pushed through to people who really need it. The City Bill won't affect me at all but it is a safety hazard.

Reflection:
City bills are getting passed faster than house/ state bills. The city bills are likely to be passed faster than other bills because it's in a smaller size, compare to house/ state bills which requires lots of meeting and reviews. City bills are lighter and much easier to pass (according to wikipedia). The focus now is on the people and what the people wants (health care). Only a few house/ state bills are getting passed because they're focusing on health care.

On the national level, one of the most recent actions happening in the House of Representatives is pushing H.R. 2647. The Bill supports special pays to certain parts of our Nation Defense system. My Bill might not be moving because it only affects a select few. Not everyone in the country owns a gun but for the few thousand that do, it affects them and might be charged for using their gun incorrectly. I think on the national level, the legislatures are trying to focus on everything they could possibly try to pass that would help the nation. On the State level, the legislature is probably trying to find the right way to divide the money up for the cities. On the Local level, I think they're just trying to get a budget.

If I had to choose, I would choose the Federal level. Right now the Government is trying to focus on the Healthcare Bill and Illegal Immigration and Civil Rights. I think that these are issues that should be dealt with firsthand and that the other minor bills (like mine) are to be put on a halt until they get through the bigger issues. The Federal Government cannot focus on other things because 'The People' want the Government to pass (or not) any of these bills.

It seems like the state level is more focused on things like health and the advancement of the government as a whole. My bills are things that people probably don't think should be of main concern at this time in our current situation. My bills include things like animal safety, recognizing women in sports, and women already have this problem in society in many areas of society general and people don't seem to notice it.The city bill relates to recognizing parents or is related to education. The bills that are moving fall into these categories, involving education and safety but are more general, not as specific as these and the majority seems to be agreeing with those bills.

It seems that city bills are getting passed or adopted faster then any of the other bills. I lost one of my bills and it too ka while to find one that hadn't just been adopted. It looks like more of the attention is on city issues, not a lot of them are too big and they are easy to pass. Where as, state and house bills are more of a bigger deal and it takes a lot more people to agree and see the issues to be fit for them to pass and be adopted.

There hasn't been any recent recent actions on any one of my three bills since about two weeks ago. I mean with the topics that my bills include I pretty sure by the next bill tracking, I'll have some hot action to report. My US Congress bill talks about Federal Reserve and audits by the government. The reason I believe that it isn't getting much attention is because of the Healthcare Bill right now. Congress is pretty focused on America's healthcare system and proposing a better solution.

So far there has not been much movement for any of the bills. I think that they are more different than all. But they are allto help the people. The State 213 Bill outlines a joint Interstate Compact on
Educational Opportunity for military children. This will help the kids of the armed forces will be able to enroll and change when they have to. The HR 1868 Bill will eliminate birthright citizenship to
illegal immigrants. This means less recognition for the immigrants which is a bit different than the HR bill. The city bill is pretty much all about what the city can do with the pay and the contracting of workers.

The Congress Bill is about guns for self defense. One would think it would be more important to get this bill passed/declined because of the crime rate going up. The State Bill is about fundings for Community Colleges. This wouldn't be so important because our country is having issues with money and giving fundings out would be difficult to pass. The City Bill is about getting a sidewalk paved in at North Philly. This Bill might take some time because the restructure of the streets would have to be considered and the detour would also have to be considered.

don't think that our focus should be on the things my bills are related

involvement. There weren't many views either but I feel that these
issues are important and should be taken into concern, at least
recognized by more people than recorded. The bills aren't really

The most recent action took place back on February 3rd of this year. Although the congress bill that I've chosen seems like a good bill, I don't think that it will get very far.
