For my English Benchmark I had to write a five-paragraph essay. The topic had to be related to the Odyssey. We had to write a thesis statement on it. We had to choose a theme to write about. Our themes and choices came form the book The Odyssey. We had to include a quote in every paragraph with no excuses.
For my essay I chose to write about love in the book. My thesis is that "men do not show love freely". I had very good evidence to prove my points. I put a good amount of references to the book to show the reader where I got my reasoning. I also had 5 paragraph of goo information.

For our geometry benchmark, my class was split into groups of two or three. We had to make a class presentation. In this project a partner and me had to create a -10minute lesson plan on a math topic given to us. We also had to create a math pamphlet on the topic. The topic that I had was Geometry in sports.
My group was Rashaun Williams, and myself. Our topic was sports and how they relate to Geometry. The sports we were given to teach about were baseball, track & field, and snowboarding. We decided for each of us to talk about one and we both talked about the last one. We had some media in our lesson such as a video on track & field and on snowboarding.

For the Spanish benchmark we had to create a brochure. It had to be universal meaning it can help a person coming from any country and speaking. The goal for our brochure was to make it professional and easy to read. We were allowed to use anyway to inform the users as long as they understood the information. The brochure must no have any English in it everything has to be in Spanish.
I made my brochure as simple as possible. I made it that way so it could be understood by anyone it felt as though I was doing a book on Spanish for Dummies. To express things in my brochure I used pictures, calendars, and cartoons. I broke it up into five sections I used date, weather, seasons, numbers, and days of the week. Overall I had a lot of fun doing this project.
