Reflective Post 4

When it comes to this project my mind was changed cause originally I though this project would be really hard but what i have come to realize is that when I put my mind into doing something it gets done. I have to say that if you take the time to do this project it will be finished. Like in the beginning the blog post were hard but  when i actually started to take my time and write them and finish them like they were suppose to be done i was getting Ok grades on them. I think thus project is one of the few project that can teach not only high-school lessons but Life lessons to. I understand the possibility of us really changing the world and I know it is small and before i would not have said this but now i must say i am happy to be apart of an activity such as this one.

College Drop Out Rate 3

In the past twenty years the rate of respect in class rooms have decreased at a unmeasured rate. Classroom curriculum has become less instructive and more of a place to hang out than learn. The environment of class room makes students believe that since there is no learning going then what is the difference between home and school. This confusion is most likely the cause of the rising of people not continuing after high school. The rate at which people are deciding not to continue after high school to go on to college. There are many possible to improve the rate but, few have actually been addressed. I have been through many and many websites and seen ways in which to improve what happens in high school. The adjective that continues to be reproduced is the power of education. The power of Education as said by Henry Peter, Lord Brougham "The Present State of the Law" "Education makes people easy to lead, but difficult to drive; easy to govern, but impossible to enslave." From the new Information i have read I have seen some of the things that are blamed for the decrease. Some people say that the SAT scores are the problems. Others state that the problem is that the community in which these neighborhood schools produce. They think that there is an essential problem in the school community if the surroundings of the school is not a place that your are designed to succeed. The only problem with these assessments is that in our own city of Philadelphia we have on the Elite graduate colleges. Temple University is in the dead center of North Philadelphia the r problem that has plague Philadelphia for many years. So how does a place that has if not the most devastating community, as close as it can get.
