 The Table is Like Humans

By:  Briana S

Like we humans, it has familes:

Parents, kids, aunts, uncles; you name
it, it’s all there.

Like the color of our skin, the elements
are color coded.

Blue, red, yellow; you name it, most
likely it’ll be there.

A family can have a lot in one generation,

Probably more then 118 elements I bet.

Now, you know how high school students
have their sections?

Well elements have their categories
too.

Yup, humans aren’t the only people
that can do that.

And you know, in a team, maybe a basketball
team,

They are assigned numbers.

Well guess what? Elements too!

Can you believe it?

But you wouldn’t call it a team number.

It’s an atomic number.

See, the table is like humans.

Periodic Table

by Robert B

An atom is a building block
It turns the hands of a clock
It is here and there
In me and in you
Scary isn’t it
But if u are afraid just quit
No need to worry
Unless it is mercury
Then you’d be sick in seconds
Oh and lead’s even worse
With a beckoning curse
And its poisonous spell
That’s a killer to dispel
But enough of that
Cause a matter of fact
There are more that can help you
Like one in your favorite brew
C8H10N4O2
Well you know what that is
It keeps you up at night
No it’s not a parental fight
And study for that test
When it comes to this it’s the best
Yes it's caffeine
precious caffeine.

Samarium Art Project

• explain the project
Our project originally came from our Biochemistry projectwhere we had to pick an element from the periodic table and create a keynote onit answering the questions we where given. With the element we were given ourart teacher found this website where there was this artistic periodic tablewhere artists had their on vision on how the element should look.
• tell about your element - some you fun facts and someresearched facts

Chromium: Print Making Project

In our Biochemistry class we were studying the Periodic Table in its entirety. Mr. Best, our Biochemistry teacher showed us that some other people made some element prints for the periodic table and we thought it would be cool if we did the same. We interpreted our element based on our research of our element we completed individually. The element I chose was Chromium.
