A. For this project, I had to do a lab about yeast respiration.
B. Two complete this project, I had to fill 3 flasks with liquids and investigate how the yeast reacted to it.
C. If I could do this project again, I would choose a different liquids to put inside the flasks.

For our quarter one benchmark in science, we had to examine yeast and its reactions to sugar, water and no elements at all. We then recorded these results and comapred them to see how much carbon dioxide was created during each test.
We had a control group (water) and then three different amounts of each substance, for instance 10 grams of water, and 5 miligrams of yeast, for the control group.
I messed up on the experiment and thought that the control group was enough of a static element within the experiment, but it turns out that the yeast still gives off a trace amount of carbon dioxide even with water.

This project was focusing on Yeast and its reaction to sugar. In this project we worked with partners and we had two parts of the project to complete.
Part 1
Experiment with the reaction of Yeast with 200 ml of water, 200 ml of water and 10 grams of sugar, and 200 lm of water and 30 grams of sugar.
Part 2
Add a variable and come up with your own lab.
Me and my partner added the variable seltzer and kept the variables of water and sugar, we just added seltzer.

We mixed chemicals to see which ones would have an affect on the ballon causing it to expand. Using the information we created charts and wrote about what happened over the period of time we had to work.
Me and my partner mixed the chemicals in the test tubes and we applied a balloon to the tube and wated to see how it would grow. we recorded the information and wrote about it. We assigned each of the parts to us to make the work easier to write abou them brought them together.
I would use more of a variety of chemicals to do more test.

For our Biochem benchmark, we preformed a lb (experiment) that consisted of putting different amounts of yeast and sugar inside of water in a vial, and putting a balloon over each vial and seeing how much each balloon inflated. we then made hypothesis' about what affected the amount of oxegyn created when mixing yeast and sugar, and we then created our own laps with yeast and balloons.

We had to test yeast in different variables in order to see how they would either react or grow in different environments. We took it day by day, and recorded everytime we saw a change. And I would test differnet variables to see how the yeast would react in different environments.

In this Bio-chem benchmark i worked with Kamille Granby and we did a lab on yeast. It was fun and and a little hard. It was hard becuase of the 5 core values. the research was 9 pages long.
