Christine and the Avocado

Posted by Harrison Talese-Rhodes in STORY-002 on
Christine walked to the supermarket to buy an avocado. She had to stop several times on the way there in order to tie her shoelaces. This did not bother her, however, as the weather was, as she would say, "positively delightful!"

When she got to the store, Christine bought her avocado. On her walk home, her shoes became untied again. She screamed a scream of anger, threw her shoes to the sidewalk, and walked away. Like a boss.

But man was that avocado ripe.

Inevitable

No one thinks about you as much as I do
I know that everything is difficult with me
But I’m doubting whether its better for us to be apart
B/c Its impossible for me to stop loving you

Never ending cycles

Posted by Robert Glynn in STORY-002 on
Once upon a time, there was a boy who was easily entertained by the internet. He would wake up in the morning and go on the internet. He would stay glued to the screen until he was hungry. After a quick breakfast it was time to go back on the internet. This cycle was repeated the entire day: internet then food then internet then food, until it was dark outside. Then he realized he had responsibilities that needed to be fulfilled, chores that needed to be done, and homework that needed to be completed. He decided that, while important, these things could wait. So he went back to the internet, a very comfortable place, until he could no longer keep his eyes open. He woke up the next morning and relived the previous day.

What a great life.

3 Inches of Snow

Posted by Oscar Holton in STORY-002 on
My alarm went off at six-o-clock playing Goodmorning by Kanye West from my ipod dock. I woke up a took my ipod touch off the dock. I touched the facebook app to see my new notifications. As I looked at my feeds I seen people statuses saying that there was no school today. I turned my ipod off, and stared at my melon painted wall for a couple seconds just to fall back into bed and drift to sleep.

Him

Posted by Jennifer Albright in STORY-002 on
She wanted Him, he wanted some other girl.
She thinks about Him all of the time, she wants Him more than anything, so she wastes her time on distractions.
She liked a boy named Michael and he liked her too. Too bad too late she found he had a girlfriend that wasn't her. Not that it mattered because even in her most flirtatious times she thought of Him not Michael.
She moved along, still liking Mike but knowing it would never work.
She liked a boy named Billy.
Billy was nice, single and lied a lot. She ignored it for a while. She still missed Him anyway, so what was a few lies, disappointments, and broken promises? Nothing.
She decided he was a distraction she was better off forgetting because she had enough pain to deal with without Billy.
She stopped everything.
She severed her connection with Billy, who really only wanted a relationship and not a friendship.
She finally got a hold of Him and found that he had always been thinking of her, dreaming of her, and loving her for as long as she loved Him. But it would never be enough, it never had been.

Twisted Tuesday

Posted by Amber Housley in STORY-002 on

Amber awoke this morning around six, earlier than normal. She knew exactly what to wear, something abnormal as well. The bathroom welcomed her entrance...she proceeded to brush her teeth and wash her face. A few minutes later Amber returned to her room, grabbed and began ironing one leg of her pants. Her brother appeared in the hallway and they conversed. Amber asked her brother, “You’re not going to school?” He replied, “We don’t have school…that’s what mom said.” “Be quiet”, was Amber’s response as she approached her bedroom window, which was hidden by a long purple drape. She was shocked to see the ground barely coated with snow. Seconds later, the School District of Philadelphia’s website was on the screen of her cell phone. Amber thought, “This is so stupid…but I ain’t mad.”

Snow day

Posted by Oswald Dembowski in STORY-002 on
It's funny how I wake up this morning at 5 o'clock and look outside to see barley any snow on the ground, I started doing my daily routine of getting in the shower and about to eat breakfast, then my mom tells me I don't have school and I just turn to her and think "Are you high?" But she tells me its what the news channel said. I think to myself "really?" Then, I proceed to go back to bed and my best friend calls me up to tell me we don't have school and I'm like yeah I know WTF. But after that, My girlfriend calls me half asleep to ask me if we have school and I tell her no and she then says"Are you sure?" "Yes, I know I don't believe it either." I then proceed to going back to sleep yet again. This time my mom yells at me at 9 o'clock telling me to shovel. "Yeah mom I'll get right on that, let me pick up my imaginary shovel and go take care of that imaginary snow that we got off for."
