Wicked

Posted by Jennifer Albright in STORY-002 on
I've recently been reading Wicked (I'm half-way through it) and I feel like I'm reading about a twisted version of the world that I'm currently living in. Also, I quite enjoy Elphaba and I'm awfully disappointed in the death I read about last night. ='[

Second Opinion

Posted by Lenea Harris in STORY-002 on
I refuse to go through this process again. Today the neurologist told me that there was no bulging disk in my back. So what the hell has been causing me pain for the past 4+ years of my life? He says I need to lose weight. No, I'm gonna wait for my appointment with the orthopedic the guy who's PAID to know what's wrong with my back, thanks anyway.

A Morbid Yet Satisfying Realization

Posted by Christine Walden in STORY-002 on
As I listen to my younger sister attempt to cajole my mother into letting her go to Senior prom with a boy she barely knows this Saturday despite being without a dress, I allow myself a small smile at the knowledge that I may not be the death of my mother. My sister might beat me to it.

Reconciliation

Posted by Amber Housley in STORY-002 on

I recently reconciled with my dad after a halt in our relationship. I discussed, with some friends, the quality of our relationship and its impact on me. We concluded that the “right” thing to do was call him. A few weeks later, I did. It has been about three weeks since I made the call and I told him why I stopped calling him. He explained that in the future I should tell him when there is a problem. If only he knew that what I told him was only a fragment of my concern.

Bus occurences

Posted by Harrison Talese-Rhodes in STORY-002 on
Today, while riding on the bus, a woman asked if she could use my cell phone. I was afraid that she would take it and run away, but I lent it to her anyway, mainly because it's a crappy phone and if anything her stealing it would be a good thing for me because then I would have an excuse to buy a new one. Alas, she made her call and gave the cell phone back. True story.
