Colorism towards Black Women
My goal for this podcast was to explore a topic that affects me. Colorism is a very sensitive topic to African American women. My essay also focuses on colorism in the black community. For this podcast, I wanted to interview light skin black women and dark skin black women. Another goal for this podcast was to improve my editing skills.
I learned that forming a story arc in a podcast is very hard. Some of my struggles were forming the climax and my interview questions. At first, I didn't know what questions to ask my interviewees. However, over time I learned to let the interview be more of a conversation than a podcast.
