Depresion, Holding on to hope Reflection

Reflection Y&TW Y&TW has been one of my favorite projects in English class this year. It's one of my favorites because I get to talk about a problem that I feel needs more attention. In my first SLATE post, I talked about depression and its symptoms, how many people it affects, etc. I think I covered depression pretty well but I don't think that I went into depth about how someone who has depression can get help for it. Depression is commonly mistaken as not a big deal and that someone can just “move on”, but it's not that simple. MyY&TW post is right here, I recommend people read because not only can it help someone but it is also educational. You can also help a friend or a loved one that is battling depression by reading my page about depression. In my ongoing research, I have seen pages that not only talk about depression but tell you tips on how to fight it. Websites like Medical News Today talk about depression, its symptoms, and how to battle it. Another website is called mayo clinic. I like this website because I know that it is reliable and it talks about depression and everything you need to know. My opinion on these ways to change My opinion on the ways to change is that I think that the ways of change are great. . I like to see so many people and websites trying to get depression awareness up. My newest source is Nami Philly. I like this one because it is a Philly website and I think it is a trustworthy website. The thing that pursued me into depression was my friend. I lost my friend to depression and it motivated me to talk about it and get the awareness up. How I decided to do this was just getting on my computer and researching. I spent a lot of time learning about depression, different types of depression, etc. My experience was very interesting. I had a lot of confusion about depression, I didn’t know how someone can be diagnosed with it or how people can get depression. I liked learning about depression and it was a great project. This was one of the best that I have done this year as a freshman at SLA. My effectiveness in making a change I think that I was effective in making a change. I think that I made my community more aware of depression. For the SLA community, I saw that other students were talking about depression and I thought it was cool. Overall, I think that my project did great. I think that I followed everything on the rubric and did great on my writing pieces. I felt great about doing this project. I had a good time researching depression and finding my sources. I learned that depression is very common for people to get. I don't think I learned anything about myself doing this project. I don't think I could have done anything better. I think that everything I did was great. The only thing that is left for me and others to do is to keep spreading awareness for depression and help people that battle it. What I am currently working on This is something that is extra that I'm working on. What I have currently been doing is making an instagram page that is dedicated to helping people battle depression. My instagram page is called battling_depression1. I have also made it so that people can contact me if they have any questions or just need help with their fight against depression.
