I love how you didn't let someone's words or comments break you down and how you used your knowledge to your advantage to stand strongly behind your beliefs and passions. Loved it!
Your memoir is very powerful and honest. You have dared to challenge the pastor (I have a brother who used to attend private Christian school, so I know how powerful the pastor is), dared to challenge her way of thinking about sexuality. It's a shame that the pastor was trying to pray the gay away. The person that prays like that is a sin in and of itself. This was a really inspiring vignette. Amazing job!
Your memoir had me hooked on to my screen. It's sad that people try to erase others sexualities because they believe it's not right or a sin, when they have done bad things in their lifetime so they have no space to judge others but still do it. I also watched the documentary about Marsha P Johnson and did a project on it and she is a big inspiration. Great Job!
