Sólo 1¢ Mas!

    • What it's like to work as a tomato picker in Florida
      - I know that the workers have to be out in the farm in extreme heat. Not only that, when they're working, they have to be very efficient and fast so that they can earn more money. They get paid only 40-50 cents per bucket of tomatoes. In addition, one bucket is like 32 lbs. No Americans will work this hard to earn only 50 cents.
    • The problem with buying tomatoes from Trader Joe's
      - The problem with buying tomatoes from Trader Joe's is that unlike other companies, trader joe's is not participating in a organization that provides fair amount of money for the workers. The worse part is that the workers are only asking for 1 more cent per bucket. It is really shameful because everyone goes to Trader Joe's to buy groceries and Trader Joe's ask for more money than any other grocery shop. They are being selfish.
    • What we can do about it
      - We can make this unfairness publicized so that Trader Joe's CEO can feel a guilty and pay legitimate amount of money for the poor workers that suffer.

Me gusta!!!!! Es bien idea, por qué es muy información! I think that by adding the numbers and extra information at the bottom of the page was also a nice touch. This way, if people do want to get involved somehow, they have the necessary contact information to do so.
