MP1 Art Blog and Artist's Statement
1. Printmaking is the transferring of an image from one surface to another.
2. The invention of printmaking was revolutionary, because books were now faster to make at a large scale.
Printmaking was used during the American Revolution to make newspapers without the invention of printmaking it would have been difficult to mass produce newspappers/
This print interests me because there is a lot more toon it than it appears there are many intricate designs that mean something and tell a story
In the print I notice that there are many very small details that the artist took time to create which shows to me how much passion the artist has for the art of printmaking
