Negative Space Reflection

Negative Space is the surrounding space around the central image or main attraction. I found negative space in my cut out drawing by noticing the difference between which was the centrak image and which was the surrounding space. Once I knew this I was able to cut out and trace the necessary components to create the bird. I found negative space in my stool drawing by first creating the central image. That would be the stool table plant and chord. Once I finished that I colored in the surrounding areas that were not those items. It helps an artist to see in negative space because it helps them focus on the details surrounding the main object. Negative space is useful in art because it gives detail to a picture and enhances it. It lets the surrounding image pop out and make a more realistic looking image.
